Night terrors

To my beloved, 

When you lie under the naked sky 

Capturing the rays of shimmering stars

That bring with them many untold stories 

Don’t you ever wonder, not even for a second 

If you could take a swim in the purest of water

To deterge all your lies with each ebbing tide

Don’t you just wanna jostle against the mud of your dishonesty

That incarcerate your every breath till this very moment

I often ask myself; how you close your eyes at night

Knowing there is no room for a dreamless slumber 

Just gloominess that spreads tormenting nightmares

The only time you can not face away from reality

Don’t you quiver in your sleep, to run from the truth

To stir up and choose a path of foul play again

Oh beloved, don’t forget that it’s what leads you to your night terrors
